Functional skills level 2 English is a GCSE equivalent qualification that is accepted by employers and higher education establishments since it is approved by the UK government. To achieve the functional skills level 2 English qualification, you have to sit three different exams and successfully pass them all. The first two exams will be on the same day, back to back, which are reading and writing and the final exam which is speaking, listening and communicating will be on a separate day to the first two exams.
