Majority of employers and all higher education courses require a Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or a GCSE Equivalent Qualification to gain access to them. The Functional Skills Maths Level 2 qualification is accepted since it is a GCSE Equivalent Qualification.
London Tutor Company offers learners sessions for the online functional skills exam individually. We have chosen to work with MME who provides the exam and resources. The Functional Skills Maths Level 2 exam is online so you won’t have to travel to a testing centre, instead you sit it in your house. You will need a device such as a laptop or computer that lets you access the webcam since the invigilator will need to watch the exam take place. The invigilator that will send the link to you via an email and watch the exam take place, has been approved by Ofqual. The exam takes 2 hours in total but some people finish before the time and you can take the exam on any day but Sunday. If you want to book your exam with MME, within 5 working days you can sit the exam. You will receive your results around 2 to 3 weeks but no later than 16 working days and this will also be sent to you via an email. Once your exam has been passed, it takes 3 weeks from then for your certificate to arrive. Around 50-60 hours of revision for this exam is recommended to have a good understanding of all of the topics.
The Functional Skills Level 2 Maths Online Exam that MME offers to the learners is accredited and since it is a Level 2 qualification, it is accepted by universities because it is a GCSE equivalent. MME provides the cheapest functional skills exams with a whole functional skills course starting at £225.What is provided in the course are the Functional skills Maths Level 2 practice papers, your exam booking with MME and MME’s functional skills resources. They also provided Functional Skills Maths Level 2 past papers for different exams boards with model solutions and their content team have also created Functional skills Maths Level 2 practice papers. These practice papers cover many of the different exam boards to help you when you take the exam. You can find these resources on MME’s website at no cost. The two main exam boards that they provide practice papers and past papers for are City and Guilds and Edexcel. OpenAwards is another exam board that has Mock Exams on MME’s website.
You can resit the functional skills exam through MME. We both understand that it is a stressful time and your first attempt might have not gone the way you hoped. Due to this and how costly the exams can be, MME offer the resit at £175 and provide additional help where they can.
